Truck Centre WA was founded by Max Winkless. With roots in the heavy vehicle industry from as young as 14 years of age, Max progressed his career from driver to a stakeholder in Mack Trucks (then Anthill Ranger), eventually being coined the name “Mr Volvo” after importing the European truck brand to the Australian market. Max finetuned the Volvo to accommodate the tough, vast and rugged Australian landscape, and still to this day is passionate about the evolving landscape of trucks, particularly with the advancement of EV and fuel cell technologies.
From humble beginnings, Truck Centre WA now leads a team of 350+ staff across 8 branch locations from Albany to Port Hedland, making it the largest heavy vehicle solution in the state.
Truck Centre WA is the industry leader in the West Australian heavy-duty truck market and is the home of Volvo, UD & Mack Trucks and buses with dealerships and servicing accessible state-wide.
